is there a fee to join the waitlist, and how do i join?

There is no fee to join the Rainbow waitlist. Our waitlist is through an application called “My Family Lounge” run by Qikkids. This means you must register for a My Family Lounge account first, before filling in a Booking Request. The benefit of this is, that you can then change and edit any details or days you would like for your child, whenever this changes.

We also have paper waitlist forms available in the centre if you would prefer to fill out a waitlist form while you do a tour. To organise a tour, please see the “Organise a Tour” button under the “Enrolment” tab at the top of this website. Alternatively, you can call the centre on 9971-7100.

When can I visit the service?

You are welcome to visit the service at any time. To organise a tour, please use the “Visit us” button under the “Enrolment” tab or call the centre on 9971-7100. Nancy or Bel will organise a time that suits your family best, where you can witness an “active” part of our Rainbow day.

How early should I place my child on the waitlist?

It is never too early to place your child on the waitlist. As we are only a small service we do fill positions quite quickly. A number of families place their children on our waitlist before they are born. Please do remember to keep in touch if any details change (address, phone number, days needed) closer to your child being 3 years old.

Are there a minimum number of days, or set days required enrolling at Rainbow?

We do suggest a minimum of two days per week, as we find any less than two days can be unsettling for the child. This also provides the best opportunity for educators to connect and build a relationship with your child and family.
There are no set number and order of days at Rainbow. You may choose the days that suit your family if they are available. If only some of the days you requested are available, we suggest you secure the days available and place your name on the waitlist for the other day(s) requested as this will ensure you are first offered for those days when they become available.

How much are the daily fees?

Rainbow daily fees are $115 per day in both the Wombat and Possum room. This fee is correct as of July 2022, however is subject to change.

Are there any other costs involved?

When enrolling at Rainbow CCC we require a bond payment of 4 weeks and an admin payment of $150 (non-refundable) which covers the “Rainbow Enrolment Pack” with a drink bottle hat, sunscreen, Rainbow book, a parent USB and other goodies.

Is Rainbow approved for Child Care Subsidy Payments?

Yes, Rainbow is an approved service for CCS. This will be applied to your fees when you CRN details are provided and your enrolment is confirmed through Centrelink.

How are fees and other payments made?

Rainbow provides the CRN holder with an emailed statement of their fees a month in advance, and requires those fees to be paid by the end of the Month. We offer the options of bank transfer using the account details on the statement, or pay by card in the service using the centre eftpos machine.
